Dr. Clark Hawk, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and
Director of the Propulsion Research Center, died February 26 in the
afternoon from an apparent heart attack. He was skiing with his family
in Utah and collapsed after skiing at the lodge/restaurant. Medical
attention was provided immediately by the ski patrol and two doctors
who were also at the restaurant. Although they attempted to revive him
for about 45 minutes, they were unfortunately not successful.
The family is returning from Utah this week and will
provide us with information on arrangements for services
in Huntsville, Alabama. If you would like to be on an
email notification list for these events, please email.
